zai is reality!

zai is a dream that has come true. A dream of the perfect ski, the ski that knows no compromise. Neither in material nor in design. The result is a completely new skiing experience: lighter and easier, for more fun stretching your limits!

The word zai stands for «tough» in Sursilvan, a Rhaeto-Romanish variant spoken between Trin and Oberalp in the Swiss Grisons. It is also spoken in Disentis, where zai skis are crafted just below the ancient Benedictine monastery.

With zai you feel the freedom of complete mastery. This is only possible when you are fully in control - not when technology takes over. And zai lets you be yourself and relish the joy of the moment.

zai is also a philosophy. An idealism of linear perfection in the snow. A complete rejection of compromise in any form. In fact zai is spiritually related to a very similar word in Oriental philosophy.

«In the beginning was the mountain», wrote Leo Tuor in his poetical homage to zai. Then came Simon Jacomet, with zai and the ski. So everything started at the very beginning again - not skiing itself of course, but exploring the perfect combination of mountain and snow, skier and skis.

That is zai!
